When you get a WWID of a newly presented LUN you simply have to add to multipath.conf. Match WWID from previous entry.

vi /etc/mutltipath.conf

Restart the service :
service multipathd restart

Run a for loop to scan for any new hard drives :
for i in 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
echo “- – – ” > /sys/class/scsi_host/host$i/scan

multipath -v3
multipath -ll | grep (LUN PATH)

Now use fdisk to create a partition :

fdisk /dev/mapper/ to create a partition
p – prints partition list on the selected disk
n – create a new partition
p – set primary partition
1 default from then on out.
w – to write the changes

Now scan for the system to find the newly created partitions :
kpartx -a
kpartx -l /dev/mapper/

Add it to fdisk if needed otherwise you are complete 🙂
