First you will need to verify you have the requirements installed on the server, GCC and MAKE. If you do not have them, simply install them with the following commands :


yum install gcc make

Next, let’s make the directory for NoIP and change to that directory :


mkdir noip && cd noip

Then lets download the files needed, make sure you are getting it from their website, or a trusted source. Here is a link from NoIP’s site :


wget http://www.no-ip.com/client/linux/noip-duc-linux.tar.gz
note you will need to the make this one line

Now you will need to extract the tar, and change to the new directory :


tar zvxf noip-duc-linux.tar.gz
cd noip-2.1.9-1

No run the make, and make install commands to compile this :


make
make install

You will then need to answer the following prompts:

Please enter the login/email string for no-ip.com

(Email account that you used to set-up noip account)

Please enter the password for user

(Password that you used to login to noip website)

Please enter an update interval: [30] 30

(Increments in minutes that you want no-ip client to be updated.)

Do you wish to run something at successful update? [N] (y/N)

(Enter “N” here)

Now you just need to start noip with this command :


/usr/local/bin/noip2
